Ciudad de Leipzig Alemania 2006 
Llevada por una amiga entro a una serie de edificios y fabricas abandonadas. 
Pasamos horas y horas atravesando habitaciones, pasillos y mas habitaciones que conducían a mas pasillos con mas habitaciones; mas y mas lugares semiderruidos, desgastados por el abandono 
Lo inquietante de andar por esos lugares nos hizo sentir de estar en el film “L a Zona” del director ruso Andrei Tarkovsky, de allí el nombre de este trabajo. 
Los lugares dejaban ver dentro de su abandono la vida que por ellos transcurrió en años pasados y esto lo convertía en lugares inquietantes 
Meses después la amiga con la que recorrimos “la Zona” me regala una caja con negativo de formato medio, que ella encontró en una de estas casas. 
Los restaure para poder apreciar lo que en ellos había y de allí surgió la vida de una familia. 
El trabajo que aquí presento es la conjunción de estos dos momentos de registro fotográfico. 
Los escenarios donde se presentan los personajes fueron registrados en el año 2006 mientras que los personajes presumible mente fueron tomados en los años 50. 
De este modo, con este collage digital pude recrear mi transito por “La zona”

Guided by a friend, I entered a series of abandoned buildings and factories.

We spent hours and hours going through rooms, isles  and more rooms and more isles, places almost destroyed, worned out by time and abandonment.

 

The disturbing part of going through these places made us feel like in the film The Area, by the Russian director, Andrei Tarkovsky.

That’s why we called our work, The Zone.

These places, in the actual abandonment, permitted us to imagine the life that went through in past years.

This situation produced in us a disturbing feeling.

Months later, my friend presented me with a box with film negatives of medium size, that she found in one of these abandoned houses.

I restored them in order to appreciate its content.

And the life of a family aroused.

The work I present here is the conjunction of these two moments of photographic registry.

The stages are from 2006 and the characters, the people, are presumably from the ‘50s.

In this way, and with this “collage” I could recreate my going through “The Zone”.

 

This work was done with analogic support, and the “collage” was done with photoshop

It holds 15 pictures.
